About us

The idea of the GRC4U solution was born in 2013 in the field of customs and international trade. In 2021, the innovative AEO Compliance Tool was launched specifically for customs compliance by GRC Customs at that time owned by Iris Snijders-Kroon and Hans Verheijen. It was therefore within the Logistics and Supply Chain Management departments that the demand arose for the expansion of the frameworks. According to customers, the ease of use and functionalities fit perfectly with other frameworks. The expansions in frameworks are therefore primarily aimed at standards that apply within this field.

 

Lars Bruurmijn started at GRC shortly after and had a significant role in the further development from IT point of view. Hans Verheijen stept down as managing partner and in 2022 Lars succeeded Hans as co-owner. It was Lars that introduced GRC Customs to Vobesoft. At the same time Iris was focussing on expanding and aligning the frameworks. A new company was born.

 

The dynamic database of VobeSoft turned out to be a good starting point for the ideas and specfications for a more comprehensive compliance tool. In 2023 and 2024 teams from both companies have combined their expertise to develop the GRC4U compliance solution.

 

In the summer 2024 the GRC4U Compliance Tool is launched. The current list of frameworks is merely a start. GRC4U, is in discussion with parties to expand the application with among others DORA, ISO 9001, TCF, KC/RA, CTPAT, NIS2, , BRC and IFS Food.
